Toyota Motor Europe & NLG Present at ATMC

At the invitation of John Saia, Chairman of the Automotive Training Managers Council (www.atmc.org), Sann René Glaza, Senior Manager Customer Service Training at Toyota Motor Europe and Michael Oettli, Managing Director at NLG GmbH made a joint presentation at this year’s ATMC conference in Indianapolis on April 16th-18th, highlighting the customized localization and review process developed by both organizations over the past 2 years.
In “Toyota Motor Europe’s challenge: Reaching people with the knowledge they need, in the language they learn in” Sann René Glaza first analyzed the challenge of localizing e-learning courses into 20+ languages for 30+ countries, describing the significant changes in Europe’s landscape over the last 25 years that have resulted in an increased need for languages.
After an overview of TME’s systems and processes for producing e-learning courses, Michael Oettli described the joint localization workflow and new Next Level Review System, which NLG developed and customized for TME based on their ongoing input and feedback. The reported benefits and savings achieved by this innovation created significant interest among the audience and triggered a lively discussion.
