NLG Exhibiting at Localization World in Tokyo

Hallbergmoos – March 30, 2016NLG GmbH (Next Level Globalization) will be exhibiting at the LocWorld30 Tokyo conference in booth #16 The conference is produced by MultiLingual Computing, Inc., and The Localization Institute.

LocWorld30 Tokyo brings together delegates engaged in adapting products, services, and communications to an international language or culture so they appear native to that particular region. Speakers at the conference include representatives from Adobe Systems, Google, Hewlett-Packard Enterprise, IBM, Lenovo, Microsoft, Netflix, Salesforce and many others. More than 300 delegates representing all manner of industries are expected to attend.

NLG has exhibited at many LocWorld conferences over the years. This is our first time as an exhibitor in Japan. Increasingly we have more clients either headquartered in Japan, or due to the special challenges with Japanese translations we have direct contact to the clients’ Japanese in-country reviewer,” says Michael Oettli, Managing Director of NLG. “With NLG Japan we established an office in Japan in 2015, therefore we consider it natural to also be present at LocWorld30 in Tokyo. This is a great opportunity to meet with some of our clients and suppliers face-to-face. In addition, attendees are invited to learn from our best practices with Japanese translations, during a presentation that we will give at LocWorld30.”

Mrs. Tamaki Asada, NLG’s Asian Language Lead and the Representative Director for NLG Japan, will hold the following presentation:

When in Rome – or in This Case Tokyo: How “Localized” Translation Can Help Stamp “Made in Japan” on Your Imported Products.

A brief description of the presentation’s content, as well as time and place can be found on the LocWorld30 website.

Rochelle Kopp, founder and managing principal of Japan Intercultural Consulting, an international training and consulting firm focused on Japanese business, will deliver the keynote, “Bridging Cultural Differences with the Hybrid Approach,” during which she’ll share her framework in a way that recognizes the perspectives of both sides.

The preconference day includes an introduction-to-localization workshop, round tables on game localization, life sciences business and more.

Attendees may choose various presentations from five distinct tracks during the main conference: Global Business, Advanced Localization Management, Technology, Localization for Asia and an Unconference.

LocWorld also represents an opportunity for executives and managers to review the latest products and services in the exhibit hall.

The conference will be held April 13-15 at the Keio Plaza Hotel Tokyo. The exhibit hall will be open April 14 from 8:30 am – 5:30 pm and April 15, from 8:30 am – 3:30 pm.
